Maple Syrup Marshmallows

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup filtered water
  • 2 TBSP grass fed gelatin
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • a small amount of butter or coconut oil

Instructions
 

  • Prepare an 8X8 glass dish by placing a thin layer of butter or coconut oil.
  • In a mixing bowl add water, gelatin and vanilla. Stir well and let sit.
  • Pour maple syrup into a medium sized pot and bring to a boil. Cook until maple syrup reaches 225*F.
  • Carefully pour the hot maple syrup into the mixing bowl, scrape out all extra syrup from sides.
  • Start mixer at low then slowly increase speed.
  • Whip until soft peaks are made then pour mixture into prepared dish. Let marshmallows sit until firm.
