Healthy Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry sauce with ingredients that nourish the body.

Ingredients
  

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz bag fresh cranberries organic if possible
  • ¼-⅓ cup honey or maple syrup (I like sour so I go for the less sweet)
  • ¼ cup filtered water
  • ½-¾ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 1 tsp organic orange zest
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Wash cranberries and pick out any squishy cranberries and compost them.
  • Add cranberries, sweetener and filtered water to a pot. Bring to a boil then cover and turn heat to medium-low and cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove pot from heat and stir in the orange juice, zest and cinnamon.
  • Add more sweetener 1 tsp at a time if desired.
  • Pour mixture into a quart jar and store in the fridge until serving. Happy Thanksgiving!
