Giant Valentine Heart Cookie
Not only for Valentines day, this cookie heart can be made any day to give your loved ones a healthy tasty treat.
Prep Time 15 minutes mins
Cook Time 12 minutes mins
- 2 cups almond flour (I currently use the almond flour from Costco, looking for a better organic brand)
- ¼ cup butter chilled, chopped small
- ¼ cup real maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp quality salt
In a food processor add almond flour and butter. Process until butter is well blended into flour.
Add remaining ingredients and process until dough forms.
Roll dough into a ball and place into an airtight container or bag. Chill about 12 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350℉. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or a thin layer of butter.
Shape your dough into a heart about ⅓ of an inch thick. Make the edges just slightly thicker and rounded to avoid burning.
Bake cookie in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until sides are golden.
Remove from oven and let cookie continue to bake on the hot cookie sheet. When cookie is cooled or mostly cooled frost it with yogurt probiotic cream frosting and add fruit.
